I have been busy making new clothes. It is so incredibly satisfying to cut, pin and sew and have a new garment to wear at the end of it. My head is now filling with endless possibilities for new pieces/colours/fabrics, i've just got to get my sewing machine rebooted after it took rather a battering during my university years (sewn one too many fabrics covered in polyfilla/paint, unfortunately its never been the same since).
My thanks go to the brilliant Tilly at Tilly and the Buttons (http://www.tillyandthebuttons.com) for creating such lovely, stylish and most importantly straightforward (!) patterns. I have loved using her Coco pattern to dust off my rusty dressmaking skills. (http://www.tillyandthebuttons.com/p/coco.html)

A few weeks ago a friend posted a link to the Guardian requesting tales of quilts made and given and the stories behind them. I thought our quilt making story was as good as any other, so I submitted it and a snap and forgot all about it, until last weekend when I received a text from a friend saying it was in the Saturday Guardian!
